It may not seem very thrifty to pour Coke down the drain, but it's probably cheaper and less toxic than a lot of toilet cleaners on the market.
Rumour has it that cleaning your toilet bowl with Coke can remove stains.
According to wikiHow, just pour Coke into the toilet enough to cover any stains. Leave to soak for at least an hour (or overnight), give it a quick scrub with a toilet brush, and flush.
So what does Coke think of this creative application of their product? They don't seem to confirm or deny its effectiveness as a toilet cleaner in a statement on the Coca-Cola website:
"We are unaware of any mechanics using Coke for any purpose other than refreshment."Well played, Coke PR people, well played.
